UNDERSTANDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Smiling While Talking

When You Call

A trained, trauma informed advocate answers the call.
Compassionate support is available 24 hours a day.

Your SAFETY COMES FIRST.  You may be asked if you are in a safe place to talk. If you are in immediate danger, calling 911 or moving to a safer location may be necessary.

Your privacy matters. When possible, calling from a private space is encouraged.

Some questions may be difficult to answer openly in the presence of others.

A SAFETY ASSESMENT helps us help you

Iris follows nationally recognized best practice safety assessment protocols. These questions help us understand risk, support safety planning, and connect callers with the most appropriate resources and services.

The goal is to listen, support, and help identify next steps based on each person’s unique situation.
Police involvement is not required for assistance.
