Clothes
and Furniture
The
CAFVIC/Battered Women's Program is fortunate to have a wonderful
working relationship with Here Today, Gone Tomorrow. This
awesome non-profit agency runs a thrift store that sells to the
public. When you make a donation in our name, you help us
and the women and children in our program in two ways. One,
our agency is able to send our survivors there to
"shop" free of charge and second, the agency receives
a portion of their sales of items donated in our name. This is a
win-win situation for the survivors of domestic violence and the
shelter.
If you have household items that you no longer need, clothing
items you no longer wear, please consider donating them to the
BWP through Here Today, Gone Tomorrow. They are located at 10240
Burbank Avenue (769-2259), in South Baton Rouge
Old
Cell Phones
Your
old cell phone can save a life. We collect and recycle
used cell phones to distribute to women for emergency use.
Memorials
or Honorariums
If
you would like to make a special contribution in memory or in
honor of someone you care about, we will be happy to honor your
request and to notify through acknowledgement your donation.
Your
Time
The
most special gift of all is your gift of time as a volunteer.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please
